Side by side exploring in Silverton, Colorado

WHO WE ARE

IT STARTED WITH THE FOUR CORNERS

Before there was Southwest Air Compressor Sales & Services, there was the Four Corners — Farmington, the oil fields, the truck stops, the ranches, the shops, the mines, and the long stretches of highway that kept it all moving. And there were Chuck and Catalina.

OUR STORY

HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS

There was Farmington. There were oil fields, truck stops, ranches, shops, mines, long stretches of highway — and the people who kept it all moving.

Chuck and Catalina met in high school and became sweethearts. Catalina had come to Farmington with her family from Chihuahua, Mexico, when she was six. Chuck's path was a little less direct — born in Montana, with stops in Toledo, OH and Show Low, AZ before Farmington became home.

OUR STORY

LEARNING THE BUSINESS
FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT

Chuck's first job was driving a truck. From there he worked his way up — dispatcher, terminal manager, then Director of Logistics at Western Refining. Every rung of that ladder taught him something the next one needed.

By the time he was VP and COO of a regional trucking company, he'd helped grow the fleet from 50 trucks to nearly 300, and revenue past $100 million. But the number that stuck with him wasn't on any balance sheet — it was the number of hours a truck sat still, waiting on a part or a repair that should have taken a day.

TRUCKS IN THE FLEET

“Downtime isn't a line item. It's a driver stuck at a truck stop, a rancher who can't get his equipment running, a shop losing a day of work. I'd seen it from every angle — as the guy waiting on the part, and the guy who owed somebody an answer.”

OUR STORY

KNOWING WHAT DOWNTIME REALLY COSTS

Chuck's routes ran through Cuba, Silverton, Tuba City — the ranches, mines, and shops that keep the Four Corners running. Out here, when a compressor goes down, there's no quick fix waiting around the corner. It can mean a lost day, a lost job, a lost paycheck.

He'd spent a career solving that exact problem for trucks. It wasn't long before he started asking why nobody was solving it for the people running this region's ranches, mines, and shops.

OUR STORY

MORE THAN A COMPRESSOR

Chuck and Catalina built Southwest Air Compressor Sales & Services on a simple idea: the equipment matters, but the person on the other end of the phone matters more. Fast response, honest pricing, and a crew that shows up and treats your shop like it's their own.

“We're not selling parts. We're keeping people working.”

OUR PHILOSOPHY

BUILT HERE. FOR THE
PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE.

Every truck, every rancher, every shop we serve is somebody's livelihood. We show up like it's ours too.

OUR STORY

THIS IS HOME

Chuck and Catalina raised their family here — four children, eleven grandchildren, and counting. This is the same ground they grew up on, the same roads they drove as teenagers, the same community that raised them.

Southwest Air Compressor isn't a company that came to the Four Corners looking for business. It's two people who never left, building something to take care of the neighbors, ranches, mines, and shops that make this place run.

OFF THE CLOCK

EXPLORING THE FOUR CORNERS SIDE BY SIDE

When they're not working, Chuck and Catalina are out exploring the terrain in the truck, riding side-by-sides and motorcycles, camping, and chasing new views across the region they call home.
